Design Ability
YJTMC has fabricated pipe spools using a mechanized welding system that employs Machine GTAW and Machine FCAW, resulting in high productivity and superior quality. Our competitive edge in piping spool fabrication is derived from our state-of-the-art production equipment, including end preparation machines, automated welding machines, and jig fixtures for turning and fit-up processes. These advanced tools ensure a perfect fit-up condition for mechanized welding, leading to sound weld metal, and also contribute to meeting the project schedule successfully.

YJTMC's Machine GTA Narrow Gap Welding technique has several strong points in Pipe Spool Fabrication, including:
¤ý High productivity, more than three times that of Manual GTA welding, particularly for Heavy Wall Pipe & Alloy Materials
¤ý Low Heat Input, resulting in a Small Heat Affected Zone and low residual stresses on the Weld Area
¤ý Low Re-work rate, contributing to High Productivity
¤ý No deformation and uniform weld shrinkage, ensuring High Quality and High Productivity
YJTMC's proposal
In order to fully utilize YJTMC's strong points in pipe spool fabrication, it is important to incorporate the appropriate Bevel shape and welding process for Narrow Gap Welding at the outset of the project design phase.
TF COIL STRUCTURE for K-STAR (Thermo Nuclear Experimental Research)
YJTMC played a role in the K-STAR project by developing innovative welding jig-fixtures for the TF coil structure in 2004 and performing narrow groove welding for toroidal joints.

Weld Cladding (CRA, Hardfacing)
YJTMC has extensive experience in providing specialized welding services in the petroleum and nuclear industries, and has performed Machine GTA welding for fabrication and on-site construction. Based on this experience with machine GTA welding technology and tool systems, YJTMC has developed the technological foundation for producing clad pipes, clad tubes, and clad fittings for use in the oil, gas, chemical, and power generation industries.
Production and on-site work
Since 2002, YJTMC has produced CRA and hardfacing clad pipes and clad fittings by Machine GTA welding, and since 2009, it has been performing partial internal welding overlay work on nuclear power plant construction sites using inside orbital GTA welding.
